ARTIST STATEMENT

She works with both male and female African figures and expresses herself effortlessly through Black skin. Her preferred medium is oil on canvas, as she enjoys the flexibility oil paint offers, especially the ability to work wet-on-wet.

She draws deep inspiration from nature a space where she sees love, peace, compassion, strength, and forgiveness. For her, nature symbolizes resilience: no matter how often it is cut down or reduced to ashes, it grows back with grace. She believes humans should embrace the same spirit understanding that, despite efforts to spread love and joy, we cannot please everyone.

Through her paintings, she seeks to give a voice to those who struggle to see love, joy, and compassion in the world around them. Her work is a reminder that love exists everywhere if we allow ourselves to receive it.
